Founded in 2023, the Pharma Africa Organization (PAO) is a non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting the well-being of all people through science-based health initiatives. Guided by evidence and innovation, PAO connects nations, partners, and communities to champion global efforts that ensure everyone, everywhere, has an equal opportunity to live a healthy life. In Tanzania, PAO officially began operations on 20th May 2023, adhering to the country’s legal framework under the NGOs Act No. 24 of 2002 as amended in 2005.
PAO leads regional and global efforts to expand universal health coverage by advancing health equity, strengthening public health systems, and supporting vulnerable populations. Through strong scientific contributions, advocacy, and reliable drug information, the organization works to keep communities safe, informed, and empowered.
