Pharma Africa Organization (PAO) is a non-governmental organization founded in 2023 and based in Dodoma, Tanzania, dedicated to advancing health and well-being across Africa. Guided by science, PAO connects nations, partners, and people to ensure everyone has an equal chance to live a healthy life. We focus on expanding universal health coverage through evidence-based policies, programs, and reliable health and drug information.
Established in response to healthcare and medicine access gaps in rural Africa, PAO was founded by a team of healthcare professionals, pharmacists, and advocates determined to create sustainable change. From humble beginnings, PAO has grown into a recognized organization bridging the gap between healthcare providers and underserved communities ensuring that location or income never determine health outcomes. Officially operating since May 20, 2023, PAO remains committed to promoting equity, serving the vulnerable, and strengthening Africa’s healthcare systems.
